In the context of nuclear crisis management and risk assessment, numerical simulation of radionuclides dispersion relies on imperfect transport models and uncertain input data such as emissions and meteorological conditions. Two key steps are to quantify, within a short timespan, the uncertainties in the computations and to calibrate an ensemble of simulations using the limited amount of field observations when they become available. The PhD offer aims at tackling these issues in collaboration with IRSN.
